Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Waggin Tails! These Terms and Conditions outline the agreement between Waggin Tails (owned and operated by Elen) and our clients for dog walking, pet sitting, and related services in Cambridge and surrounding areas.

 

By booking our services, you agree to these terms.

1. SERVICES PROVIDED

 

Waggin Tails offers the following services:

  • Dog walking (30, 45, or 60 minutes)

  • Home-based pet sitting

  • Puppy playtime

  • Pet visits (30 minutes or 1 hour)

  • Meet and greet consultations (free)

 

Service availability is Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm. Weekend services may be arranged upon request and subject to availability.

2. SERVICE AREA

 

We provide services throughout Cambridge and surrounding areas including Te Miro and nearby localities. Please enquire if you're unsure whether your location is covered.

3. BOOKING & CONFIRMATION

 

  • Bookings can be made via phone (021 883 343), email (waggintails31@gmail.com), or through our website contact form

  • We recommend booking at least 48 hours in advance

  • A free meet-and-greet consultation is required before the first service

  • All bookings are confirmed once we have received your completed client information form and agreed on service dates/times

  • A deposit may be required at Waggin Tails' discretion for new clients or extended bookings

4. CANCELLATION POLICY

 

  • Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled service

  • Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice will incur the full service fee

  • For overnight or extended pet sitting bookings, at least 48 hours' notice is required

  • We understand that emergencies happen - please contact us as soon as possible if you need to cancel

5. PAYMENT TERMS

 

  • Payment is due within 2 working days after service completion

  • Accepted payment methods: bank transfer 

  • Late payments will incur an administration fee of $15 for every 5 working days overdue

  • Invoices will be provided upon request

  • Prices are as listed on our website and may be subject to change with notice

  • Holiday surcharges may apply for services on public holidays

6. CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES

 

As a client, you agree to:

 

  • Provide accurate and complete information about your pet, including health conditions, behavioural issues, vaccination records, and emergency contact details

  • Ensure your pet is up to date on all core vaccinations and worming treatments

  • Provide proof of vaccination records for dogs staying at our home-based property

  • Inform us immediately of any changes to your pet's health, behaviour, or medication

  • Provide clear instructions for feeding, medication, and any special care requirements

  • Ensure we have secure access to your property via keys, door codes, or gate codes for the purpose of collecting and dropping off your dog

  • Provide adequate food, medication, and supplies for the duration of service

  • Ensure your pet is wearing appropriate identification tags

  • Inform us of any known aggressive or reactive behaviour

7. KEYS & PROPERTY ACCESS

 

  • Clients will provide Waggin Tails with access to keys, door codes, or gate codes for the sole purpose of collecting and dropping off dogs for walks and services

  • All keys and access codes are stored securely

  • Keys will only be used for agreed-upon service times

  • Clients are responsible for ensuring all access information is accurate and up to date

  • Waggin Tails is not responsible for lockouts or access issues resulting from incorrect information provided by the client

8. PET HEALTH & SAFETY

 

  • We reserve the right to refuse service to any animal showing signs of illness or aggressive behaviour

  • If your pet becomes ill or injured while in our care, we will contact you immediately

  • In an emergency where you cannot be reached, we are authorised to seek veterinary care at your expense

  • We will make every effort to contact you before seeking veterinary treatment unless immediate care is required

  • All veterinary expenses incurred during service are the client's responsibility

  • Please note: We are not qualified veterinarians and cannot diagnose or treat medical conditions

9. HOME-BASED PET SITTING

 

For dogs staying at our home-based property, the following house rules apply:

 

  • Dogs must be up to date on vaccinations and flea/worm treatments (proof required)

  • Aggressive or reactive dogs may not be suitable for home stays

  • Dogs must be house-trained or you must provide appropriate containment/cleaning supplies

  • Dogs are not permitted on furniture unless specifically arranged in advance

  • Dogs will be supervised but not monitored 24/7

  • Dogs will be walked and given appropriate exercise, play time, and attention

  • Any damage caused by your dog to our property or belongings will be your responsibility

  • We reserve the right to return a dog to the owner if behaviour becomes unmanageable or poses a safety risk

10. WEATHER POLICY

 

  • We walk dogs in light rain and mild weather conditions

  • In severe weather (heavy rain, storms, extreme heat), walks may be shortened to a quick toilet break with additional indoor playtime provided

  • Safety is our priority - we reserve the right to modify or reschedule walks based on weather conditions

11. INSURANCE & LIABILITY

 

  • Waggin Tails carries public liability insurance for your peace of mind

  • We take every precaution to ensure your pet's safety, but we cannot be held liable for:

    • Pre-existing health conditions or injuries

    • Accidents or injuries that occur despite reasonable care

    • Your pet escaping due to faulty gates, doors, or containment provided by the client

    • Damage to your property caused by your pet

    • Interactions with wildlife or other animals during walks

    • Theft or loss of keys (we maintain secure key storage)

  • Clients are responsible for ensuring their own pet insurance covers any incidents during professional care services

12. PHOTOS & SOCIAL MEDIA

 

  • We may take photos of your pet during walks and visits

  • These photos may be shared on our social media pages (Facebook and Instagram) and website for promotional purposes

  • If you do not wish for photos of your pet to be shared publicly, please let us know in writing

13. TERMINATION OF SERVICE

 

Waggin Tails reserves the right to terminate services immediately if:

 

  • Payment terms are not met

  • Client provides false or misleading information about their pet

  • A pet displays dangerous or unmanageable behaviour

  • Client breaches these Terms and Conditions

  • We have concerns about the welfare or safety of the pet or ourselves

14. COMPLAINTS & FEEDBACK

 

We value your feedback and strive to provide excellent service. If you have any concerns or complaints, please contact us directly at waggintails31@gmail.com or 021 883 343. We will do our best to resolve any issues promptly and professionally.

15. PRIVACY

 

Your personal information (name, address, contact details, and pet information) will be kept confidential and used solely for the purpose of providing our services. We will not share your information with third parties except as required by law or in the case of veterinary emergencies.

16. CHANGES TO TERMS & CONDITIONS

 

Waggin Tails reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on our website with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

17. AGREEMENT

 

By using Waggin Tails services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
